Booking a stay
How does booking work?
Choose your dates and a unit, then tap Hold these dates. The dates are held for a short time while you send the host’s downpayment to the account shown and upload the receipt. Once the host confirms it, you get the address and check-in details.
Who do I pay?
You pay the host directly, by GCash, Maya, bank transfer or their QR code, using only the verified accounts on your booking page. The balance is paid to the host at check-in. Abong never asks you to send money anywhere else.
What does “Verified” mean?
The Abong team checked the listing and the host’s payout account before it went live. “Verified on-site” means we also visited.
The host hasn’t confirmed my payment. What now?
Hosts have a set time to check your receipt. If they don’t, Abong steps in automatically and reviews it. You’ll get a notification either way.
Can I cancel?
Each listing’s cancellation policy, shown before you book, decides any refund. Refunds come from the host. You can cancel a hold you haven’t paid for from your trip page.
Why do I need a profile photo and mobile number?
Hosts and guests meet in person, so everyone shows a real face. Your number is shared with the host only after your payment is confirmed.
